The method

Clay, fire, patience

Nothing leaves the workshop until it has rested, been fired twice and passed the thumb test.

  1. WedgeLocal clay is wedged by hand to drive out air.
  2. ThrowEach form is pulled on the wheel and trimmed leather-hard.
  3. GlazeAsh and iron glazes are dipped, then fired to 1260°C.
  4. PackWrapped in recycled paper, sent with a care card.
“The bowl was heavier than I expected and lighter than I deserve. We use it every morning.”
